Skiathos
Skiathos is one of the most visited islands of the Sporades, with plenty to see beyond its beaches. Don't miss the house of the writer Alexandros Papadiamantis, now a museum, or the Bourtzi with the remains of the Venetian fortress.
The island brings nature and sea together, with more than sixty beaches — Koukounaries, Banana and Chrysi Ammos the best known. Lalaria, the pine forest at Koukounaries and Strofylia lake are all worth the trip. And with so many places to eat and drink by the water, its nightlife has earned it the name “the Mykonos of the Sporades”.
